DECEMBER 19, 2010 LATEST RT-EVP SOFTWARE UPDATE HERE Instructions Below:
If the RECORDING Sensitivity goes up to 81dB and the Spirit Box has reverse sweep with the additional 76MHz - 86MHz frequency range, there is no need for the update.
Start by Downloading the attached software file to your desktop. Note, that while the detection sensitivity has increased...there are some other issues that you'll need to contend with. Be careful not to hurt your ears, the Sound Pressure Level (SPL) can take a toll on your eardrums. Also be aware that at the higher level, the MIC will easily start to pick up the Playback inside your ear canal, even at a few feet away.
1. Turn your RT-EVP "ON" and press the MENU button for 3-sec. This takes you to the Record/Play main menu. 2. Select the Tool Box and press ENTER. 3. Use the UP/DOWN Arrow buttons and select Format disk, then press enter. Allow the RT to re- format. 4. Press the MENU Button for 3-sec. to return to the Record/Play Main Menu. 5. Press the ENTER Button for 3-sec to turn the RT OFF 6. Attach the RT-EVP with Power OFF to Your PC using the USB Cable provided. The Screen will say Busy then Ready 7. Open "My Computer" from the Start Menu and select the removable flash drive 8. Drag the "user.crc" software upgrade from your desk top into the RT folder 9. Safely Disconnect the USB from the RT. There will be an hour glass for a few moments and then the RT will return to the Record screen. 10 Press the MENU button for 3-sec. This takes you back to the Record/Play main menu. 11. Select the Tool Box and press ENTER. 12. Use the UP/DOWN Arrow buttons and select Software Upgrade, then press enter. 13. Use the UP Arrow to select "YES" then press ENTER. The screen will say OPEN AGAIN and then the RT-EVP will turn OFF 14. Turn the RT-EVP ON and allow the upgrade to load. The RT will turn OFF after the new software is loaded.
IMPORTANT: On another non related matter. Be sure to off load your RT recorded files frequently, don't let them accumulate in the flash to prevent "File System Fragmentation" When you first start out, the flash memory is wide open and it is easy for the system allocator to position a file anywhere within the flash memory free space. But, as you accumulate more and more files, free space as well as frequently appended files tend to fragment more. When you have shorter regions of free space available in the memory, the system can no longer allocate new files contiguously, and has to break them into even smaller fragments. The end result may lead to a slower throughput speed, and reduced system efficiency with some functional interruptions.
"I recieved the RT-EVP yesterday and had some time to get play around with it. I just wanted to let you know it was worth the wait. I took it to work this morning, a place that we have investigated earlier. I asked a few basic questions pertaining to that investigation and got several responses. I got to say I am seriously impressed. I have tested the recording quality against the ZOOM H2, the RT-EVP stands toe to toe with that bulky device. Plus unlike the H2 there is no noise when moving the device around, that's a big plus in my book."
"The RT-EVP Sound Quality is right up there with the Zoom H2, Nice Device"
This is the most valuable tool I ever purchased!! ...The amazing device allows you to record and play back simultaneously, giving you the ability to have real time communication with entities. After you ask a question during an EVP session, the device will playback what was just recorded and continue to record so you may basically have a "Live real time" conversation with an entity. Also the device has built in white noise and FM frequency sweep scanner for "Ghost Box" sessions as well. By Far!!... it's the best tool you will ever find for "Spirit communication", I have purchased 3 of them".
