What makes the Mel-8704R-500 Model so uniquely different from all other EMF meters is that in addition to detecting AC/DC EMF fluctuations and Ambient temperature changes, it has a special REM feature. REM stands for Radiating EM Field. When the circuit is activated, an independent discreet EM field is created around a mini telescopic antenna. See Illustration A.

This EM field can ONLY be influenced by materials and objects with high electron mobility (many free electrons) in other words conductive properties. Conductivity is determined by the types of atoms in a material. Based on Conductive source, proximity & strength, the EM field can be easily changed causing some field distortion. When this happens, there are (4) colorful LED lights and Sound that will activate. The visual and audible response is proportional and correlates directly to the REM field disturbance. The stronger the influence on the REM field, the more intense the LED's and Sound response. This new feature is immune to Radio Waves, AC/DC EMF and other influences that may lead to a false positive response. For best results, Place the device on a non-conductive surface when conducting your communication sessions. The Mel-REM can also be used as a hand held device, but careful attention should be made to keep hand and fingers toward the bottom of the instrument. This instrument is intended to further help promote and advance Paranormal research.

Mel-Vibe:
This feature utilizes a high sensitivity Accelerometer to detect just the slightest Touch or Vibration. Another useful tool to engage spirit when gathering evidence. We had a lot of fun testing this new feature out. Imagine something so sensitive that it detects a cotton ball, paper clip, piece of popcorn or a slight tap of your finger anywhere on a 8 long wood table top! Or, being able to detect a foot "stomp" on a 4" slab of concrete from 30' away!
It can even detect the sound pressure level / frequency from your voice if you shout toward it from 4' away. many people have felt the sensation of a touch on their arm, shoulder, back and so on. If Spirit is willing to cooperate, just the slightest "Touch" anywhere on the Mel meter will be detected and acknowledged with a short 2 sec "beep" and then reset.

This new feature detects subtle Ambient temperature changes in the environment, and converts the Hot and / or Cold change into an audible and visual alarm. Each degree change produces a unique tone. There is a one Octave step for each degree change which allows the user to quickly differentiate any temperature change even without looking at the display. Blue LED's are used for a temperature decrease, while Red Led's are used to show any temperature increase that occurs.

The Mel-8704R-GF includes all of the standard Mel features plus there is a very sensitive 3-Axis Vibration detection circuit built in. Six LEDs' are used for Vibration display: (2) Red for X-Axis, (2) Green for Y-Axis and (2) Blue for Z-Axis. In addition, there is audio on/off select for sound. Each individual Axis will produce a unique tone that allows the user to easily determine the direction of Vibration influence on the Mel meter.
