INTELLIGENT HAUNTING OR GHOST
The haunting that is considered to be “Intelligent” can be experienced in any location, at any time. This is especially true when it comes to areas that are known to experience unexplained phenomenon. This type of haunting is said to have some level of “consciousness” about it. This basically means that they are able to interact with individuals on the physical plane, like you and I. Many professional ghost hunters may refer to these types of spirits as “smart”, or “smart ghosts”. They may even call them “real ghosts”. If you experience this type of haunting, the following may be observed and/or felt: It is very likely to experience an apparition. This may appear as a full body, half body, a mist, or something similar. It is possible to hear voices, or whispers.Many have actually been physically touched by an intelligent haunting. Objects that are near may be moved, knocked over, opened, closed, and similar other events may be experienced. It is not uncommon to smell certain scents – this can be virtually any type of scent. You may smell a floral scent, or even a very strong odor that is displeasing.


RESIDUAL HAUNTING OR GHOST

The next type of haunting is the “Residual”. While this type of haunting may appear to be very “real”, it does not have a conscious level like the Intelligent haunting does. As a matter of fact, these hauntings typically are created by the “energy” of a certain location. These types of hauntings are often most relevant in areas where something highly emotional or traumatic occurred. It is believed that this is actually the most common of all hauntings that may be experienced. Characteristics of this type of haunting includes: • If this type of haunting occurs, there is generally no interaction between it and the people who are present. As a matter of fact, these types of hauntings typically do not even seem to be aware that the living is present. • Certain sounds, smells, and sights may be experienced with this type of haunting. • It is common to notice that the same events, sights, sounds, and smells may be experienced in a repetitive manner. Eventually, the haunting may simply go away on its own because it loses the energy that helped to create it with the passage of time.

POLTERGEIST HAUNTING OR GHOST

The next type of haunting is referred to as a “Poltergeist”. Many ghost hunters refer to this type of haunting as “noisy spirits”. This is an exceptionally frightening type of haunting. Poltergeists can actually control the environment that they frequent.
